Halloween with the Badfish Band

Hello All,

Yes, it's been quite some time (again) since I've put up a new blog post. Things have been super busy on my end with the tail end of wedding season and a whole bunch of senior portraits. You can see a lot of those shots on my main website. But hey, I'll try to make it up to you with this one.

I was hired by The Badfish Band to shoot their awesome Halloween concert and party at Bombs Away Cafe in Corvallis. I covered their set, but also had a blast setting up a backdrop and light in the back room for some photo booth antics.

(Don't worry everyone who came through the booth and signed up, I'll have all the shots up in an online gallery real soon and will let you know!)

Anyway, enjoy the shots everyone. Glad I could catch so many folks in costume. It was way cool getting these shots, even if you don't remember the evening so well, haha. Peace!

Tim and Kelsey

Tim and Kelsey's wedding was on Sunday at Mt Hood Bed and Breakfast. I'd never been out there before and it is AMAZING. Yes, more shots to come, but here's a hint at how things went for the day -- Epic.

Lacey and Robbie - Wedding

Shot Lacey and Robbie's wedding on Saturday. More pictures to come, but I wanted to put up these few shots!

Rebecca and Erik - Wedding

Had the opportunity to shoot Rebecca and Erik's wedding at the Corvallis Country Club the other week. I'm really happy with how the shots are looking and wanted to post up a quick preview. Congrats again Rebecca and Erik!

Had a great shoot with Kim the other week. She'll be helping pitch me at South Salem High School. Thanks again to Aimee for doing yet another fantastic makeup job.

Portland Waterfront Blues Festival

Enjoyed a wonderful Fourth of July weekend at the annual Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival on the Portland waterfront. It was filled with lots of sun, dancing, fireworks and incredible blues music. It's the second largest blues event in the nation. This was also a good opportunity for me to log some shooting time with a new 85mm lens I purchased this week. Can't wait to put it to work at weddings starting this coming weekend.

Today I caught a pair of great performances at the A&E stage. The first was of Portland Blues Experience, a dance group my fiance, Kelly, belongs to. Next up was Terry "Harmonica" Bean, an AMAZING blues musician from Mississippi. You can check out his myspace page here, although it doesn't look like he has too many photos up at the moment. I will probably try to get ahold of his folks and send him a shot or two from today. This guy is great; he intersperses his set with colorful tales of life in the South, growing up living and listening to the Blues.
